Obituary of Carol A. Hard

Carol (Pitoniak) Hard, 64, of Lakeland, NY, passed away peacefully on Nov 22, 2014 after a brief illness. She was surrounded by family. She graduated from Solvay high school and worked for Onondaga County Public Library and P & C warehouse. Carol enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends at the family camp on the Indian river, fishing and enjoying the outdoors. Survivors: her husband of 44 years, Gerald J. Hard; daughter, Jennifer (Anthony Zoanetti); son, Michael Hard (Jacqueline Richer); sister, Ellen Parker; brother, John Pitoniak (Rhonda Jacobs); sister, Martha (Joe Fabrizio), brother in law, Marty Hard (Terry Hannafon), sister in law, Eloise Reale; grandchildren, Anthony and Abigail Zoanetti, Michael and Addison Hard, and several nieces and nephews. Services: Noon Wednesday at St. Cecilia's Church, 1001 Woods Rd., Solvay where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow in Belle Isle Cemetery. Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Tindall Funeral Home, 1921 W Genesee St. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
