Robert Evan Lennon, 58, a lifelong resident of Solvay, passed away on March 4, 2015. Bob grew up in Solvay and after high school, he joined the Army and served overseas in Korea. Once his tour of duty was complete, Bob earned an Associate's Degree in Labor Relations from OCC and was employed by Solvay Process, Allied Chemical, L.C.P. and Carrier Corporation, first as a welder and then a Labor Relations specialist. Bob actively served at St. Brigid & St. Joseph Church as a Eucharistic Minister and he received many work and community awards. Survivors: his wife of 35 years, Dolores Pestillo Lennon, his son, Gordon Leete, Jr.; daughter, Jacqueline Lennon and a grandson Gordon Leete; brothers, William J. (Betty) Lennon III and Michael (Cindy) Lennon; sisters, Linda (Agostino) Canzano, and Pam (Frank) Torzon and several nieces and nephews. Loved and admired by many, Bob always helped anyone who was in need. He dedicated many hours to helping friends of Bill Wilson. He was a friend to anyone he met. Services: 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at St. Brigid-St. Joseph Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal and burial with military honors will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Tindall Funeral Home, 1921 W Genesee St, Syracuse, NY. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Brigid-St. Joseph Church, 318 Herkimer St., Syracuse, NY 13204.
