Obituary of Theresa Kane

Theresa R. Kane, 87, of Geddes passed away Wednesday, after a brief illness at St. Joseph's Hospital, surrounded by family. Born in Syracuse, she was raised in the village of Solvay and was graduate of Solvay High School. Theresa retired from the Onondaga County Sheriff's Dept. in 1989. She loved travelling, bowling, dancing, and playing cards with friends. Theresa was a faithful, lifelong loving mother and friend. She was predeceased by her husband, Francis Kane, daughter, Robin Kane, 5 sisters and her brother. Survivors: her daughter, Deborah L. Kane; son, Patrick (Suzanne) Kane; grandchildren, Megan Kane; Ashley (Robert) Ripley; great grandchildren, Matthew, Dylan, Ella, and Adriana; several nieces and nephews. Services: 12:00 pm Friday at Holy Family Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ronald McDonald House, 1027 E. Genesee St., Syracuse, NY 13210.
